Game Of Skill
Hand Over Hand Fantasy Poker (HOHFP) is a game of skill that offers a variety cash prizes to participants based on their performance relative to others. HOHFP participants use their own skills and abilities to (1) predict the future performance of poker players over an extended series of poker tournaments, (2) strategically select players according to their capabilities and experience with the specific form(s) of poker being played during a given poker tournament, and (3) other skills and strategies based on the Rules and Scoring System of HOHFP.
Eligibility
HOHFP is open to individuals 21 years of age or older. Employees of HOHFP are not eligible to participate nor or immediate relatives include parents, siblings, and children. Each participant is expected to have Internet access along with a working e-mail account. Participants are expected to actively manage their team for the duration of a contest they have joined. HOHFP may decline eligibility to any individual at its own discretion.
Number Of Participants
The required minimum number of participants must be satisfied for a contest to be considered filled and eligible for play. Any unfilled contests will be canceled and all participants will receive a full refund. If needed, a contest start date may be extended by a few days in order to satisfy the minimum number of participants. All participants will informed of such changes via e-mail as well as on the HOHFP website. Each league will be capped at the advertised maximum number of participants. Participants may not have more than entry per contest, however participants may play in multiple contests.
Prize Money
All prize money is guaranteed for each filled contest. Prize money for any ties will be split evenly amongst those involved in the tie. All prize money will be distributed to player accounts after the end of the contest. By accepting any award, the winners grant permission to HOHFP to use their user name for publicity and promotional purposes without further compensation.
Refunds
Participants may unjoin a contest at any time prior to the beginning of the first tournament in the contest. When that is done, any buyin amount will be refunded into the player's account. If for any reason, an HOHFP contest is canceled, each participant will receive a full refund.
Tournament Schedule
If for any reason, the target poker series modifies any portion of their schedule, we reserve the right to determine prize winners based on a modified schedule. In the unlikely event that a poker tournament is canceled, all participants will receive no points for that event.
Team Submissions
Participants must submit their teams prior to cutoff time associated with their member level. However participants should keep in mind that the server may slow down near the cutoff time. If such a delay keeps a given participant from entering their team on time, HOHFP is under no obligation to rectify that situation. In any event, HOHFP reserves the right to change the cutoff times for a given tournament at any time for any reason.
Scoring
Different contests use different scoring systems. The scoring system for a given contest is explained in the contest details page for each contest. The participants are fully responsible for understanding the scoring system and tie breakers for any contests that they have entered. (Note that for scoring systems based poker player winnings, any fractional dollar amounts (pennies) are truncated.
Rule Disputes
Any disputes or discrepancies regarding HOHFP rules will be resolved by our personel based on our interpretation of the rules. HOHFP will consider the intent and spirit of the rules, the integrity of the content, as well as the feasibility of accommodating any appeal. All disputes must be submitted via email to support@handoverhandfantasypoker.com. All decisions made by HOHFP are final and binding. HOHFP reserves the right to modify any rules for clarification purposes without materially affecting the terms and conditions of the contest.
E-mail addresses
All league communication is performed via e-mail. Therfore, it is the sole responsibily of each participant to notify HOHFP if their e-mail address should change. E-mail addresses can be changed by sending an email to support@handoverhandfantasypoker.com. The e-mail should contain both the old and new email addresses. Participants will notified once their new e-mail address has been updated in the system. As mentioned in the Participant Privacy section below, e-mail addresses are never displayed on the league website or shared with anyone.
Password Privacy
Passwords used by contest participants are encrypted and cannot be retrieved by HOHFP employees. If a participant forgets or loses their password or forgets their username, they can use the password reset option to fix that situation. Participants are responsible for the secrecy of their password. HOHFP is not responsible or liable for any actions taken by someone else using a participant's password.
Participant Privacy
HOHFP does not share the snail mail or e-mail addresses of its participants with anyone. HOHFP fully respects each participant’s privacy. E-mail addresses are not displayed on the HOHFP website.
Internet / Technology Issues
If for any reason, the HOHFP system is not capable of functioning as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of HOHFP which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the contest, HOHFP reserves the right to modify the rules or suspend any HOHFP contest. HOHFP assumes no responsibility for any error, omissions, interruption, deletion, defect or delay in operation with transmission, communications, line failure, theft, destruction or unauthorized access to the website.
Personal Behavior
Participants agree to behave in a lawful, respectful, and sportsmanlike manner while using the HOHFP website. Any conduct by a participant which is deemed by HOHFP to threaten, harass, intimidate, offend or harm any participant or HOHF Prepresentative is strictly prohibited. HOHFP reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to ban any person from further participation if they engage in such prohibited conduct.
Website Tampering
Any attempt by a participant or individual to deliberately damage the HOHFP website is a violation of criminal and civil law. If such an event occurs, HOHFP reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent of the law.
Disclaimer
HOHFP is not responsible for any problem or technical malfunction which impedes or interferes with a transaction including but not limited to team submissions. HOHFP is not responsible for the failure of any cable or DSL connectivity, computer servers, equipment, software, or traffic congestion on the Internet or any damage to a participant's computer related to or resulting from participation in HOHFP. HOHFP is not responsible for any loss or liability incurred by any participant or for any unlawful behavior by a participant. HOHFP is not associated with Full Tilt Poker, Poker Stars or any of the Poker Series mentioned on this website. HOHFP is void where prohibited by law. All federal, state, local, and provincial laws and regulations apply. In the event that this contest is challenged by any legal or regulatory authority, HOHFP reserves the right to discontinue or modify the contest, or to disqualify participants residing in the affected geographic areas. In such event, HOHFP shall have no liability to any participants who are disqualified due to such an action.
Release
By registering on the HOHFP website, participants hereby release, discharge and covenant not to sue HOHFP, employees, or other participants. Participants agree to hold those parties harmless from all liability, claim, demands, losses, or damages caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligence of HOHFP. Participants further agree that despite this waiver if they or anyone on their behalf makes a claim against HOHFP, participants will indemnify, save, and hold harmless HOHFP or employees from any litigation expenses, attorney fees, loss liability, damage, or cost which may be incur as a result of such a claim.
